Scope and Contents This collection consists of the correspondence between journalist Robert M. Johnson; his wife, Mary Urquhart Johnson; and their daughters Margaret and Esther. Also included are greeting cards, a broadside, telegrams, postcards, and clippings. Johnson wrote to his daughters about stories he was working on, including the 1910 street car strike in Philadelphia, and about his work as a political journalist in San Antonio, Texas.
